Due to a really good job opportunity we are going to have to move back to the northeast with a quickness. It's quite bittersweet as I was finally used to Texas and really liking it here (aside from the insane heat) and now I will miss out on working at TRF or even going to it at all. But this job will be a blessing in other ways so it's not all sad. We'll be back to visit family here anyway and there's a lot left to this state that I want to see. So I'll still get to go to TRF and Scarborough eventually. Just not this year. Everyone have fun at the Faire for me. I'll have to check out a few of the other Faires up north to get my Ren fix.

    Working at TRF

    Monday, August 20, 2007, 05:30 PM [General]

Today I got a call from a costumer who has a booth TRF that I was trying to get a job with for the upcoming season and she has agreed to hire me. I cannot wait! I love her costumes and it's going to be a lot of fun to sell them. I've never worked at a faire before, though I have been going to them for years. Should be quite the experience.

Natasha... this will be my first trip too... had a friend request I attend with him... from what I have heard, it is substanially smaller than Scarby or TRF... which I think means, it doesn't have alot established...
maybe why they call it a fantasy faire to get more attendance...

the upside is, this also means that there is potential to be of influence during it's growth...
if you are within driving distance, and have nothing else going on... why not...it is a good chance to test out the costumes before TRF :)
